Most recommendation rows are a black box: trending titles, or "because you watched" something you only half liked. You cannot tell at a glance whether a suggestion is really for you.
Filmtally's recommendations start from the films you rated highest and say so: "Because you love David Fincher." or "Because you loved Zodiac and Prisoners." Films you have already watched or saved stay out of the way.
A reason on every film
Your For You row sits next to your taste meter, and each film carries a one-line reason: a director you keep rating highly, or the films you loved that point to it.

Questions before you start
How does Filmtally recommend movies?
It starts from the films you rated highest and finds titles connected to them, such as the same director or several of your favourites pointing to the same film. Anything you have already watched or saved is left out.
Where do the reasons come from?
From your own ratings. Rate two or more films by a director 8 or higher and you will see Because you love that director. Otherwise the reason names the films you loved that led to the pick.
Which moods can I pick?
Cozy, Mind-bending, Edge-of-seat, Feel-good, Tearjerker and Laugh-out-loud.
How many films do I need to rate?
A few ratings get you started. Around 25 ratings is where recommendations start to feel tuned, and the taste meter shows your progress.
